Virtual Learning Center

What is VLC?

The RSU 3's Virtual Learning Center, VLC, combines a 3D virtual environment with online course systems to create a learning platform that students can use to learn the way that works best for them.

The VLC creates a social environment for students to interact and communicate with each other from anywhere.

Students can customize their avatar with difference body styles, clothing and even hair colors.  This gives the student a sense of uniqueness when interacting with others.

This platform is very similar to a gaming platform.  Because of this, students not only find it fun, but they find it easy to use as well.

The VLC integrates with any web based course management system, such as Moodle and BlackBoard.

This integration allows students to access courses materials directly from the VLC environment.  Quick and easy!
